If you've been on a few dates with the same person and you want to impress them with a home-cooked meal, but you're not much of a cook, don't worry. We have some ideas for you that are easy to put together and don't require advanced cooking skills. With these recipes, you can whip up a delicious meal that will impress your date without stressing yourself out in the kitchen.
Boil water in a covered pot with a teaspoon of table salt. Use #8 Spaghetti. Once the water boils use half a box and drop it in the water. When the spaghetti is bendable when stirred “Al Dente”, remove it from the water. Sprinkle with a little olive oil and mix it up. Add a pat of butter and continue to stir.
Buy a package of cooked meatballs and a jar of Vodka Sauce and heat them in a microwave dish. Follow the instructions on the packages for heating.
Buy a head of Butterhead Lettuce and a small package of sliced Tri-Colored Peppers. Rinse lettuce and peppers. Cut the stem of the head of lettuce off and split the lettuce in half. Place into two bowls. Sprinkle with sliced peppers. Sprinkle the lettuce & peppers with Oregano flakes. Add Italian dressing or oil & Vinegar.
Serve the salad first. Then add spaghetti to two bowls. Place meatballs on top. Pour sauce over the spaghetti & meatballs. Sprinkle with oregano and Parmesan Cheese if no one is allergic.
Purchase a container of Pepper Steak minus the peppers at your favorite Chinese Restaurant. From your local supermarket, purchase some rice made in a “minute”, there are several flavors to choose from. A large can of Corn, a head of Iceberg Lettuce.
Purchase some Watermelon Radishes, Scallions, and a bag of Croutons.
Cut the stem off of the head of lettuce and cut the lettuce head in half. Cut the radishes and slice the scallions. Remove the corn from the can and heat it in a microwave dish. Heat the rice as well. Follow the directions on the package.
Serve the Salad with radishes and croutons first. Then make a bed of rice. Put corn and steak slices on to and serve after salad.
Go to the store and purchase a box of Homestyle Waffles and a Package of either
Cooked Grilled Chicken Breasts or Cooked Chicken Wings. Butter, Syrup and confectioner sugar.
Warm the chicken in the microwave or stove. Follow the directions on the package. Put the Waffles in the toaster or a pan and heat. Melt the butter and run the syrup under hot water in the sink.
Preheat the plate by running it under hot water in the sink. Put waffles on the plate, and chicken wings or breast slices on top.
Serve with melted butter and warm syrup. Dust with confectioner sugar.
Here, you will purchase filling items from this list that you and or your date like.
Vegetables like: Zucchini, Red Onions, Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Spinach, Scallions, Avocado, Red or Yellow Bell Peppers, and Chile Peppers. Meats like: Deli Ham, Country Ham, Bacon, and Breakfast Sausage. Also, some hash browns, and your favorite cheeses.
You must prepare the vegetables and a protein before moving on to the eggs. Chop up all the vegetables and protein that you selected. Put a little oil in the bottom of an 8-inch nonstick pan under medium-high heat add a pinch of salt and pepper. Add vegetables and sauté them for 2 to 3 minutes. Add your protein and sauté for another 2 minutes, then set the mix aside.
Whisk 3 eggs together till they become one yellow liquid. Add a pinch of salt and pepper. Add two pats of butter to the nonstick pan. Melt. Add the egg mixture to the melted butter in the pan at a medium-low heat. Stir till the egg mix starts to set. Cover the pan. Use a spatula to move the wet parts of the eggs to the edge of the pan.
At about 5 minutes, flip the set eggs over so the wetter part is at the bottom. Turn off the heat. If using cheese, sprinkle some across the top of the eggs. Add your toppings to one-half of the eggs. Flip the non-topping half over the topped half, and garnish with herbs (choose from: Basil, Chives, Cilantro, Dill, Parsley, and serve right away.
Potatoes-Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place a potato on a cutting board and lay chopsticks along both sides. Use a knife to cut the potato across into ⅛” thick slices, till your knife reaches the chopsticks so that the potato is not cut through. Repeat with the other potatoes.
Place the potatoes on the baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and get the oil and seasoning between the potato slices. Put a sage leaf between the potato slices. Roast for 1 hour. Remove the potatoes from the oven and brush with a garlic butter mix. Roast for another 10 minutes, making sure the potatoes are ten
Place the potatoes on the baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and get the oil and seasoning between the potato slices. Put a sage leaf between the potato slices. Roast for 1 hour. Remove the potatoes from the oven and brush with a garlic butter mix. Roast for another 10 minutes, making sure the potatoes are tender in the middle and crisp all around. Remove and season to taste with salt and pepper and top with parsley and red pepper flakes. Serve with more garlic butter on the side.
Shrimp-In a large microwave-proof bowl melt 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter. Add salt, pepper, olive oil, garlic, Cajun seasoning, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and Liquid Smoke. Mix well. Drop in all the shrimp and stir, coating the shrimp with the seasonings. Let shrimp marinate for 10 minutes.
Spread shrimp on a baking sheet. Cook on 425 degrees for 15 minutes, turn after 5 minutes. While shrimp are cooking, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with parsley. Remove shrimp from oven, drizzle the butter/parsley mixture over shrimp.
Place Potatoes and Shrimp on a plate and serve.
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add all ingredients, except the bread and cornflakes to a blender or a shallow dish and whisk well to combine: 4 large eggs, 1 cup whole milk, 1 tablespoon sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and a pinch salt.
Add the batter and the cereal to two separate shallow dishes. Dip each piece of bread into the liquid mixture on both sides and then press gently into the cereal, flipping to coat both sides.
Melt a small piece of butter in a skillet or griddle over medium heat (or grease with cooking spray). Place the bread slices on the hot skillet and cook for a few minutes until golden on the bottom and then flip and cook on the other side.
Serve warm with melted butter, your favorite maple syrup warmed and some fully cooked bacon.
